A habitual scribbler from the moment I picked up a crayon, I have an eye for a good turn of phrase and a deep-seated obsession with the speeches of The West Wing's Toby Ziegler.
Having spent my formative career years in communications teams the Council of the EU and the British Red Cross, I went on to create Internocracy, my own social enterprise campaigning for fair, paid internships, and became a dab hand at writing last-minute Op-Eds, speeches and snappy campaign slogans, as well as giving radio and TV interviews.
It was at Ikea of Sweden where I started to really flex my business writing muscles, learning how a well-thought-out message, whether a speech, presentation or news article, could affect teams of people from around the world, energising individuals to pull together. One of my proudest moments was putting into words and presenting what a team felt about the impact of their work - I've never encountered tears in the boardroom before!
I'm calm in the face of chaos and uncertainty, and believe in putting my energy into doing good things in the world.
